General Information

The first meeting of the new municipality (the City of Rock Creek) was held at the Village Hall on January 5, 1971. Acting Clerk Shirley Peterson gave the Oath of Office to the following officers; Mayor - Lawrence A. Peterson. Councilmen - Fred Engler, Berl House, Lonnie Johnson and Arthur Schultz.

 

The Rock Creek City Council meets once a month, on the first Thursday at 6PM.

 

The Council consists of five members; one mayor and four council members elected by the residents of Rock Creek.

 

The mayor serves a two-year term and council members serve four-year terms.  

 

City elections are held in even numbered years during the general election in November.
