NOTICE: Recurring Special City Council Work Session Meetings

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting held on February 26, 2026, the Rock Creek City Council approved the following motion:

Don Ramberg motioned, seconded by Sam Christenson, to hold recurring meetings every Thursday at 5:00 p.m., excluding regularly scheduled City Council meeting dates, until further notice. The motion carried with all ayes.

Pursuant to this action, the Rock Creek City Council will meet every Thursday at 5:00 p.m., excluding regularly scheduled City Council meeting dates, until further notice. These meetings will be held as work session meetings for the purpose of developing an Employee Handbook and establishing formal personnel policies prior to finalizing the hiring of a new City Administrator.

All meetings will be held at Rock Creek City Hall unless otherwise posted.

Public Works Part-Time Position

Public Works Part-Time Position

The City of Rock Creek is accepting applications for a part-time Public Works Maintenance position. 

Duties include:

  • Maintenance of city grounds, parks, sidewalks, and right-of-ways
  • Operating light and heavy equipment; mowing, snow plowing, landscaping
  • General upkeep of public facilities
  • Position involves outdoor work in all weather conditions


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to operate equipment, lift up to 50 pounds, and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Also, must possess a valid commercial driver’s license, or at a minimum; a class B driver’s license.

Please take a moment to review the City's Snow Removal Policy.
One important thing to note: 
It is unlawful to obstruct any roadway or deposit snow or ice thereon.  (Minnesota Statutes 160.2715 )
** Any violation of this section is a misdemeanor.

*Snow deposited on road shoulders or pushed across the road becomes extremely hard when frozen and can cause snowplow damage.*

Notice is hereby given that the Safety Committee will be meeting regularly for the foreseeable future. During this time there may or may not be a quorum of City Council members at any given meeting. As a government body, the City Council will not deliberate, take any formal action on any items discussed, nor meeting minutes will be produced for this notice.
